In this episode, we reveal the background to understand what 'Protestant' truly means and we here this phrase originated. We continue the discovery of Martin Luther's life and in 1529, eight German princes gathered in Speyers, Germany, as the Church desired to crush out the heresy of the Reformation. They used the word 'protest' within their responses, and this is where we get the term 'Protestantism' today.
