Martin Luther & The Papal Bull | Episode 22 | Lineage

15 Jun 2017

We continue to discover Martin Luther’s life as he unfortunately was not left to live his life in peace, and encountered repeated opposition and trial. Soon after he posted his 95 Theses in Wittenberg, Luther was summoned to appear in Rome to answer a charge of heresy, which eventually meant he was to be excommunicated from Rome. The Church of Rome took the threat so seriously that a Papal Bull was produced, but Luther was undaunted and publicly burned it under a tree in Wittenburg.
