Martin Luther: 95 Theses | Episode 21 | Lineage

08 Jun 2017

Now, we learn about the 95 Theses. Luther was a priest of the church and had to hear people’s confessions. A problem arose when some parishioners produced Tetzel’s pardon for their sins, and Luther refused to accept them. On the Festival of All Saints, he posted on the church door his 95 theses. Aside from the Bible, this became the single most significant document written by Martin Luther himself. Although initially written to address a local need, the impact developed way beyond what anyone could have imagined.
