Despite losing his faith in the aftermath of the Great Disappointment in 1844, Uriah Smith would go on to be a pillar in the early Seventh Day Adventist church. Born into a small village in New Hampshire, he followed in his sisters' footsteps, where his work would go on to have a global impact. Gifted and talented beyond the walls of the church, he would also own several patents by the time he died.
